Bringing Hope Home awards one school each year with the recognition of BHH School of the Year! Last year, Springfield Township Middle School took home the title for the viral video they made to bring awareness to our mission and send a message of hope to our families. These were some tough shoes to fill, but the students at West Chester University were up for the challenge!

The BHH, WCU Chapter was founded in Spring 2014 by WCU student & BHH family, Kevin McGuire. BHH helped Kevin a couple years back when he was navigating his own cancer diagnosis. As soon as Kevin got to campus, he hit the ground running to form a Bringing Hope Home student club so he could help other families going through the same situation. Kevin’s vision became a reality and the club has really taken off!

The BHH, WCU Chapter played a huge part in the HOPE Squad this year. From hosting their first annual Halloween Costume 5K, participating in Giving Tuesday, volunteering at countless BHH events, forming a Hope Squad intramural soccer team, and even road tripping to Pittsburgh to help start the BHH, Robert Morris Chapter– this group has been nothing short of amazing! Their club president, Megan Hess, even received a national award through Youth Service America for the hard work and leadership she has shown in helping this group to grow!

Congratulations to this awesome group of students!! We can’t thank you enough.
