Bags of Hope

We invite you to join us in our ongoing efforts to help local Families with cancer by being a part of our Bags of Hope Program. When an individual is going through cancer treatment, it takes a toll on both their physical and emotional health. With the help of supporters like you, we can provide individuals undergoing cancer treatment with a bag of Unexpected Amazingness to brighten their day. Think of your Bags of Hope as “Get Well Soon” packages containing items that will help individuals get through their treatments.

 

Below is a step-by-step guide on how to participate in Bringing Hope Home’s Bags of Hope Program.

Step 1: Form a Team or Gather Your Company

While individuals are more than welcome to do this project, we encourage you to form a team of people to help assemble your bags. This project is a great team-building opportunity!

Step 2: Order Your Bags of Hope Supplies on the Bringing Hope Home Website

Decide how many Bags of Hope you would like to put together, which package option below works best for your group, and place your order below by clicking on the ORDER NOW button.

Option #1: Supplies to put together 25 Bags of Hope. Items will be shipped directly to you and will include:

  • 25 orange BHH tote bags to pack all of your items inside
  • 25 ChapSticks
  • 25 individual packs of tissues
  • 25 hand sanitizers
  • 25 packs of playing cards
  • 25 adult coloring books with colored pencils

This package also includes a 15-minute Zoom call with a BHH staff member during your packing event, a BHH card template that you can download for your team to make cards to be included in each bag and optional delivery of the bags to BHH’s office in Malvern or to a local hospital/cancer center.

Cost: $750

Option #2: Supplies to put together 50 Bags of Hope. Items will be shipped directly to you and will include:

  • 50 orange BHH tote bags to pack all of your items inside
  • 50 ChapSticks
  • 50 individual packs of tissues
  • 50 hand sanitizers
  • 50 packs of playing cards
  • 50 adult coloring books with colored pencils

  • 25 orange BHH tote bags to pack all of your items inside
  • 25 ChapSticks
  • 25 individual packs of tissues
  • 25 hand sanitizers
  • 25 packs of playing cards
  • 25 adult coloring books with colored pencils

*A personal touch of HOPE includes a BHH staff member who will come speak to your group during your packing event, a BHH card template that you can download for your team to make cards to be included in each bag and optional delivery of the bags to BHH’s office in Malvern or to a local hospital/cancer center. In addition, this package includes a donation to financially support a local Family with cancer with their household bills through BHH’s Light of Hope Family Program. You will receive the story of a Family supported, thanks to your generous donation.

*The event must take place within 50 miles of Philadelphia

*Travel expenses not included

Cost: $1,750

Step 3: Assemble your Bags of Hope

Your Bags of Hope items will be shipped to the contact person and address provided for you and your team to assemble. Shipping typically takes 5-10 business days. If you and your group would like to make personalized cards to include inside each bag, click here to download our Bags of Hope card template and print them out. Cards are meant to let individuals know that they are not alone and that they are being thought of so any kind of uplifting or inspirational message is great to write inside! You can also decorate and color the front of the card. Coordination of your Zoom call or in-person speaker will be scheduled directly with your BHH contact person for your assembly day.

Step 4: Deliver your Bags of Hope

Once your bags have been assembled, please let your contact at BHH know if you are interested in delivering your bags to BHH’s office in Malvern (641 Swedesford Rd. Malvern, PA 19355) or delivering them to a local hospital/cancer center. If you would like to deliver your bags to a local hospital that BHH partners with, we kindly ask that you hold onto your bags until BHH has made arrangements for your delivery. Delivery is coordinated with one of our referring social workers so that the bags can be shared with their individuals during their cancer treatment.
