Why do you STOMP cancer?!
“For those who can’t.” “For my mom.” “Because cancer sucks.” “Love…”
These are all reasons why over 800 runners and walkers came out to STOMP Cancer in Bringing Hope Home’s 5th Annual West Chester STOMPS Cancer 5K & Family Walk, raising over $65,000 for our families. The streets of West Chester quickly filled with our amazing participants—individuals, families, friends, and huge teams alike. The enthusiasm was infectious and we were overwhelmed by the amazing energy of every walker and runner.

Our STOMP teams were absolutely amazing this year! Team Pay it Forward made up our largest team with over 135 people, which was formed by cancer STOMPER Katie Durant (#teamkatie)
Our top fundraising team was Team Caddywonkus raised the most money with $3,835!!! Team Caddywonkus that was formed in memory of their great wife, mom and grandmom Diane Kubica, who past away from breast cancer last March.
The 2nd highest fundraising team was Team Rain = Flowers, formed in loving memory of past BHH family, Janet Kornacki.
The 3rd highest fundraising team was Team 19064 Live Like Mike, formed to STOMP in honor and in memory of all families battling cancer in Delaware County, and also in loving memory of Mike Gade (Forever #57).
The 2014 Team Spirit Award went to Team Pink Zebras, who have been STOMPING with us for the past 4 years!

Over 50 volunteers came out to assist at the event with student representatives from West Chester University as well! Even WCU’s cheerleaders came out to applaud STOMPERS as they passed! Thanks to the support of our generous sponsors, fundraising teams, donors, and attendees, over 50 local families with cancer will receive the loving support that they need during these hard times. Because of the love and support of all of our participants, we are one step closer to STOMPING out cancer! We can’t wait to see you next year at the STOMP!
