2014 Divine 9 Open Golf Outing

Join us for a great day of golf, fun and friends to benefit the families we serve that are battling cancer in the Greater Philadelphia Area at the gorgeous White Manor Country Club.

ABOUT DIVINE 9 OPEN

The Divine 9 Open Golf Outing was established by Jeff Dittus in memory of his father Morton, who passed away of cancer. This is an event to celebrate life, golf and a man who loved both.Before Morton passed away, Jeff never got the chance to really say his goodbyes. If given the chance, Jeff would have thanked his father for his greatest gift: teaching him to play golf when he was young and supporting his habit while he obtained an education.
Through this wonderful game, Jeff’s father instilled in him values that remain core to his personal ethos – respect, humility and integrity. Since his Divine 9 wood brought him so much pleasure, his family promised to bury him with it. When the burial day came unexpectedly, the family kept their promise and laid his trusty 9 wood next to him.

FORMAT OF PLAY

• Two better balls of four, full handicap.
• Prizes for low net and low gross.

SCHEDULE OF THE DAY

Prior to the outing, the talented Ben Witter will be joining us to put on his “Power Golf Show”. Following a successful collegiate career highlighted by earning 3 time NCAA All American Status and 2 NCAA National Long Drive Championship crowns, Ben put his playing skills to the test on the mini tours and PGA Tour Qualifying School pursuing his lifelong dream of playing on the tour.

This pursuit, however, was cut short by a diagnosis of cancer in 1988. After surgery and extensive radiation treatment, he turned the focus of his career toward teaching the game of golf. Ben’s Show is a rare combination of athletic ability, power, control, balance, eye –hand coordination, instructional content, humor and entertainment wrapped up in an unforgettable long drive and trick shot presentation.

• Foursome Registration: $1,600.00
• Individual Golfer Registration: $400.00
