Bringing Hope Home Interns are given real-world, hands-on responsibilities. You will do meaningful work to help local Families with cancer. Find out how you can contribute your diverse talents to gain invaluable experience below!

 

Bringing Hope Home is seeking college juniors or seniors to fill 1 position in each department.

  1. Interested candidates can email Kate Trotter at katetrotter@bringinghopehome.org.
  2. Positions are unpaid, part-time (approximately 20 hours per week), can be taken for credit, and include opportunities to work both, in-person & remotely.
  3. Dates of availability are flexible but ideal would be  September 1st-December 17th.

 

Events Intern

 

Job Description:

Participating in weekly event meetings with Sarah to go over goals and objectives.

Actively participating in event committee calls (weekly and bi-weekly)

Opportunity to assist on-site at events as needed.

Silent auction outreach support as needed for Signature Events.

Event outreach (phone calls & emails) to spread awareness around signature events

Family Department Intern

 

Job Description:

  1. Complete weekly Family follow-up letters showing grant funds issued to assist Families
  2. Assist with the holiday Adopt-A-Family (AAF) Program. Tasks can include:
    1. Call Families to confirm e-gift card requests
    2. Manage Family application intake
    3. Be hands-on in Family gift card sorting and assisting with gift card mailings if needed
    4. Administrative tasks as they relate to the AAF Program as needed
  3. Assist with Family database and data input and clean-up
  4. Conduct Family survey of past Families helped and manage data collected
  5. Find creative ways to share Family stories, quotes, and demographics with the BHH community
  6. Cultivate Family and hospital involvement
  7. Research additional resources to share with our Families based on area, cancer type, etc.
  8. Conduct Family and social worker spotlight interviews and articles as needed
  9. General BHH event support for Signature Events as needed. All staff and interns assist with this for our large Fall events.
  10. Assist with administrative duties as needed

Must be comfortable speaking on the phone, have experience working in Microsoft Excel and Word, and be extremely organized.

The ideal candidate will have availability through mid-December.
