On Tuesday, December 2, 2014 – Bringing Hope Home joined the National #GivingTuesday Movement that encourages communities to “Give with a Purpose”. Following Thanksgiving, Black Friday and Cyber Monday, Giving Tuesday is a day to remind us to give back, give HOPE, volunteer & be generous. And that is exactly what the BHH Hope Squad did.

The Hope Squad was out in full force yesterday showing the community why they #BHHunselfie. We teamed up with the Philadelphia Dunkin Donuts Community Cruiser, where we started at Drexel University – giving out free coffee, collecting donations, and taking #unselfies. We then continued to spread the hope on West Chester University’s Campus, in partnership with the BHH Club at WCU. Though it was a cold and dreary day, you could surely feel the warmth.

In 2013, it was our first year participating in Giving Tuesday and we raised over $2,000. This year it was our goal to financially support 3 local families with cancer this holiday season and raise $4,500. We are thrilled to announce that we surpassed our fundraising goal and raised over $5,000 in just one day!

THANK YOU THANK YOU!

The funds raised will support our Adopt-A-Family Holiday Program and will bring hope and joy to local families with cancer this holiday season! We can’t thank you enough and are truly grateful for your help in bringing smiles to the faces of those who need it most!
