LIGHT OF HOPE FAMILY GRANT PROGRAM
Thank you for your interest in Bringing Hope Home’s Light of Hope Family Grant Program. If you have a Family that is in need of financial assistance as they battle cancer, we want to help. Please review our guidelines to make sure the family that you wish to nominate meets our requirements before applying.

Applications must be submitted by a social worker or other member of the Family’s oncology team. Applications submitted from any other source will not be accepted.
Our grant operates monthly and completed applications can only be accepted on the 1st business day of each month. Once our grant has hit the maximum number of family applicants that we can accommodate for that month, all applications in process will receive notification letting them know they are welcome to reapply on the 1st of the next month. Each hospital is limited to referring a maximum of 2 families per month, until the grant has filled up for that given month.
Men and women currently in treatment for breast cancer, living in certain counties in PA and NJ, need to apply for assistance through the Cis B. Golder Quality of Life Grant. BHH partners with Living Beyond Breast Cancer for this grant, so please be aware that Families applying for this grant are unable to additionally apply for the Light of Hope Family Grant Program. To begin a Family grant application, please print a HIPAA form for the Family to sign and complete. This form will need to be signed and uploaded on the family’s application form. You can begin an application form by entering the password below and then clicking “Access.”
Bringing Hope Home is proud to offer the 2017 Adopt-A-Family (AAF) Program. The goal of this program is to provide holiday gifts to families with cancer in the Greater Philadelphia Area who are struggling due to a cancer diagnosis. Last year, BHH assisted 255 local families with gifts for the holiday, thanks to our amazing supporters!
AAF Program Details
Any family that meets our guidelines is welcome to apply for the AAF Program. The family does not have to have children in order to apply for the program. We welcome individuals and couples without children to apply. Please keep in mind, we can only accept gift requests for family members living in the patient’s household.
All gifts will be purchased by local organizations, companies, and individuals who have volunteered to donate to this program. This will require Bringing Hope Home to share each family’s gift list and first name with the donor that they have been paired with. The approximate retail value of each family member’s items will be around $100 per person. Our donors are very generous; however, we cannot guarantee that all items listed will be purchased.
All gifts will be delivered to the family’s home by the donor who purchased the family’s gifts before Christmas day, wrapped or unwrapped based on the family’s preference. We’ve asked that all gifts be delivered to the family’s home by Sunday, December 17th.
How to Apply for the AAF Program
In order to apply for the 2017 AAF Program, families must meet our guidelines and complete a Family Gift application which will need to be submitted online by their social worker. If you are a social worker or healthcare professional looking to nominate a family, please call the BHH office at 484-580-8395 for more information on our online AAF Application.
All Family Gift applications must be submitted online by Friday, November 3rd. As part of the online AAF application, a completed HIPAA & Photo Consent Form must be scanned and attached to the online application.
