Amy R. Terlecki is an abstract artist living in the Philadelphia Main Line area who finds inspiration in the world around her. Color, texture, and patterns in nature are major influences in her work. Amy has supported Bringing Hope Home by donating her work to our 2016 and 2017 Ella Bella Fashion Show silent auctions. Amy shares why she created this print and promotion:
When I was approached to donate paintings to the BHH Ella Bella Fashion show for 2016 and 2017, I was inspired to create a piece that would be inclusive of all cancers, since BHH provides emotional and financial support for people going through treatments from various types of cancer. The organization’s mission struck home with me because as a young child, I lost my mother to Leukemia and although we did not receive help from BHH since they did not exist at the time, we received support from friends and family to help us through those tough times. Growing up without my mom shaped who I am today and when I hear about organizations like BHH and am asked to participate/donate, I am more than happy to give back and help others being affected by cancer.
 
This particular piece, the original, was made for a friend as a gift because they work in the cancer research field and have family members that were touched by cancer. Guests at the Ella Bella Fashion Show expressed interest in purchasing my prints so I created prints with the intention to raise money for cancer research and support groups.
 
50% of the profits from every sale will go towards a cancer research or support group. If you are using the code BHH2018, 50% of the profits will go to Bringing Hope Home. The remaining profits will be used to make more prints and allow me to continue to offer free domestic US shipping since this piece is intended to raise money for cancer research and support groups.
